HI, I'M ASHLEY
I’m lucky to have had the opportunity to work in a field rooted in what I love: sports. From a young age, I’ve been focused and goal driven, it's just evolved from the soccer field to the baseball stadium. When I lost my athletic career to injury, I decided to continue my involvement in the competitive field of sports, hanging up the cleats in favor of walkable heels. I have had the opportunity to learn from so many great minds in my field, build and create things to be proud of, and even win a World Series in the process!

Though I enjoyed my first few years in the professional stadium, I am excited to kickoff my new adventure as an Attorney in South Carolina. I have incorporated my competitive nature, integrity, and drive into my new adventure and longterm career, and am ready to contribute to a field that makes such an immense impact. I have found great success through continued hard work and have learned so much already as a Judicial Law Clerk for the Honorable Maite Murphy in the First Circuit of South Carolina.

FUN FACTS AND PIVOTAL EXPERIENCES
World Series Champ
2020 WORLD SERIES
In 1988, my dad watched the Dodgers win the World Series. When I started working in sports and more-so when I was hired by the Dodgers, I heard the stories of the famous Kirk Gibson homerun and the energy of the win running through the city I call home for now. After the heartbreak in Game 5 of the NLDS in 2019, the Dodgers were back in it. And this time, as a full-time employee, I would have the chance to go! Even though 2020 was a different year than any other in baseball (an everything else), being at the final game of the World Series and watching my team win will be an experience I remember forever and a happiness high I will chase in everything I do.
Just Call Me Coach
TALEGA TIGERSHARKS
Between my Freshman and Sophomore year of high school, one of my soccer teammates convinced me to do swim conditioning with her. Flash forward a couple weeks and there I am, Coach Ashley. I had the pleasure of coaching my three to six year old kids in 'Lane 0'. From then until the summer after my Sophomore year of college, every summer morning was spent in the water, teaching kids first how to stay off the lane lines all the way to an attempt at the ever feared Butterfly.
My Unofficial Official Title
LADY ASHLEY
While studying abroad, I learned of a company the works to preserve parts of the Scottish Highlands by selling small plots of land. I found this both funny and intriguing, ultimately deciding to buy myself one square foot of land. A few weeks later, I received a package in the mail with information on my plot and a congratulatory message for officially becoming a Lady of a Manor. This has since become a favorite gift to give in our family, collecting preserved land, one square foot at a time.
My Travel Blog
MINDING THE GAP
For as long as I can remember, my grandmother has documented her travels in journals. When I studied abroad in London, this practice of hers inspired me to start a blog called 'Minding the Gap' to document my travels while sharing weekly updates with my friends and family back home, titled after the caution you hear at each tube stop. I documented everything, from our travels to Geneva to a much anticipated trip to Costco, doing my best to capture the daily experiences of living across the world.

PRE-MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL MAGNET PROGRAM
In high school, I was fortunate enough to be accepted into the Pre-Medical Professional Magnet Program (PMPMP). Though I realized that I ultimately do not wish to become a physician, the experiences I was afforded in the program very much contributed to who I am today. Our Medical Ethics debate-style final taught me that doing good is the only right answer on any side of any debate and shadowing open heart surgery at the young age of 16 taught me the fragility of human life and how we must do all we can to protect it. I will forever be grateful to Dr. Cappelletti for my times in her classroom.
Where it Really Started
BEING A SOCCER PLAYER
Growing up, my absolute favorite part of my day was going to soccer practice. From making my first club team at the age of eight to hanging up my cleats after a couple botched foot surgeries, I loved marching out to the center circle when captains were called each and every game. I credit my passion for sports and itch for competition to the days I spent in my courtyard trying to beat my teammates juggling records, taking home the ladder after practice for extra reps, or being called up to the older team to fill in spots. I truly miss being on a team and feeling the rush of adrenaline during an important game everyday.
